I’m a textile mixed media artist, working with paint, fabrics, embellishments and free motion embroidery. I get my inspiration from walking in the countryside and seaside. I love to collect grasses and seed heads, shells and interesting items I can use in my art. My work is all original one off pieces which I have sold all over the world.
Bridgnorth-based printmaker Julia Timmins creates richly detailed prints that invite close looking and quiet discovery. Working primarily in wood engraving—a precise and expressive form of relief printmaking—she also produces linocuts and drypoint prints, each marked by a deep sensitivity to texture and line.
Julia’s work seeks to capture a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world, revealing beauty through intricate detail and carefully observed surfaces. Her practice is continually inspired by her garden and the surrounding Shropshire countryside, where ancient woodland, vibrant meadows, abundant wildlife, and a wealth of historic sites provide endless source material.
Julia is an elected member and Chair of the Society of Wood Engravers and exhibits regularly throughout the UK and internationally. Her work is held in public and private collections in the UK and abroad.
I work in fused glass primarily, creating seascapes, meadow scenes, some of which include my own hand painted silk panels, along with a variety of other styles, all ideal for special gifts and home decoration. Occasionally I include work with copper foiled stained glass, mainly in organic tree designs , the range is known as the dreaming trees.
I create modern heritage duffle bags and matching pouches in stunning fabrics. Each piece is individual and made with care and love, and used by people that appreciate something slightly different.

I love making slab pottery in simple shapes and designs. Designs are often Art Deco or folk art inspired. I used biscuity textured clay to contrast with the part satin glazed patterns. Birds, horses, arches and trees are often themes for pots. I also make small decorative birds to hang up, brooches and house scene plaques.
