Hand carved birds and boats in wood that create statement pieces for interiors. These hand made pieces bring nature inside with highly detailed birds, while the boats transport you harbour side. With over 30 years of carving Robert is a sculptor who understands how to create one of pieces that enhance the environment they are situated in.
I am a self taught maker of stringed musical instruments, mainly violins, violas and viols. I am inspired by historical instruments especially those in the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. I also enjoy repairing violins, etc especially ones that have been played and cherished by people who are no longer able to play and can be used by new players. It is always a delight bring to life an unused instrument and hear to sound again, as it is to hear a new instrument sounding for the first time
“Capture the essence of British woodlands” Flowers handcrafts affordable collections of minimal wooden jewellery, home décor and timeless statement pieces, that capture the essence of British woodlands. Sustainability is at the heart of all Danielle’s designs, inspired by mid-century modern design, clean lines and geometric forms, with the aim of showcasing raw materials through the traditional craft of woodturning. Each handcrafted element juxtaposes the unique grains of British hardwoods with the refined forms of 925 sterling silver, leather and brass, to create a harmonious balance between material qualities and their aesthetic values. Flowers sources native hardwoods directly from managed woodlands in Shropshire, milling, processing, and forming the timber in house. Danielle graduated from Cardiff School of Art and Design, BA (Hons) Artist, Designer, Maker in 2016, and since established her contemporary woodturning business from the rural surrounds of Ludlow, Shropshire. Member of the register of Professional Turners and Yeoman to The Worshipful Company of Turners.
