I am a Painter and Textile artist producing paintings and textile wall hangings with pictorial and abstract themes. I also make functional textile pieces including textile scarves, throws, bags and vessels. I have just introduced a range of Greetings Cards based on sketches made at The Dower House Garden, Morville.
Artist working with watercolour, acrylics and printmaking. Linda is inspired by the natural world, especially garden birds, flowers and the local landscape.
Karen finds inspiration in the majestic landscape of the Shropshire Hills as well as the Cornish coastline, a favourite holiday destination. She creates abstract works that capture an emotional response to a place or event.
Karen prefers to simplify, or deconstruct, observed and remembered landscapes through the application of paint, mixed media and collage, sometimes incorporating marks made with natural objects, found whilst out in nature.
I paint mainly in acrylic, and enjoy painting a broad range of subjects, from trains at the Severn Valley Railway, Shropshire scenes like Daniels Mill, The Ironbridge and Blists Hill. Cyclists, Still life, Welsh scenes and native birds. I sell a few originals but mainly prints and framed prints. There are cards of all the above, plus new for this year, comic cartoons, seasonal and special occasion
My work is inspired by my long walks in the Shropshire countryside. I love walking from home, travelling along as many different footpaths as possible, thoroughly exploring my immediate environment. These paintings are the places and spaces that have caught my attention and captured my imagination.
