Jill creates contemporary studio glass; unique pieces often exploiting the bold colours & visual properties of glass.
“My style is usually informed by a geometric, balanced, aesthetic and the ‘tapestry’ technique, which I love, has underpinned my work for some time. It also allows me to explore almost endless colour combinations; from tonal variations to striking opposites.”
“I’m currently experimenting with 3-dimensional fusing and hand manipulation of fused glass. The resulting shapes are by nature of the process, bold & organic, and I’m excited to add this hands-on ‘twist’ to my work.”
Jill works from a studio at her home and has been running workshops in Shropshire and beyond for 10 years.
She is a long standing member of Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Craft and the Contemporary Glass Society
